For every one's convenience it will be held just before the social hour and NY Convention ET sale. This session is open to all dairy pro ducers regardless if you attend any other convention sessions. A "'surfing the web" demon stration by Jay Mattison, Request, Ltd., will combine his dairy experience with how-to's about the World Wide Web. Mattison, a former dairy sire analyst, has numerous dairy clients and is practical and informative in his presenta tions. Neil Hammerschmidt, Holstein Association USA, will talk about use of the internet at the Association and show how downloading of pedigrees and interim sire summaries can save you time and paper! Hammerschmidt will discuss two additional computer ser vices; calf registration and Multi-Mate, cow mating pro gram using Red Book Plus Mike Brown, American Jersey Cattle Association will give examples of the Jersey breed's use of the web to register calves. Working since mid 1997, they plan to be registering calves via the internet in March 1998. Plenty of time will be allowed for questions at this informal session.
