Holland Vegetable Day Jan. 19
at the Summit Valley
Elementary School.
Growers Steve Groff and
Boyd Mertz will be on hand to
discuss their experiences with
cover crops and greenhouse
tomatoes. Perennial favorites
Alan Mac Nab and Mike Orzolek
from Penn State will discuss
what they learned from the 1997
growing season and what to
expect in 1998.
The general session after
lunch will feature a panel of

Cooperative Extension Service,
Frederick County office, will be
conducting a workshop in farm
business computer record keep
ing using Quicken from 11 a.m.
until 5 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 5 and
12 at Frederick Community
College.
Cost for the workshop is $5O
per farm or business (up to two
people per computer).

a.m. at the Summit Valley
Elementary School, one mile
south of New Holland.
Participants may buy lunch at
the school or pack their own.
