sary and the annual Pennsylvania
Association of Conservation Dis
tricts (PACD) conference were
held in October here at the Moun
tain Laurel Resort.
The PACD conference was
hosted by the Carbon County Con
servation District, which cele
brated its 50th anniversary.
The theme for the event was
“Diversity In Action.” The theme
was chosen to illustrated that Car
bon County is a diverse county,
ranging from agriculture to
tourism.
The district presented awards to
people throughout the county for
their efforts to conserve soil and
water.
