Prices were unchanged to lower. The
market tone was steady to instances weak.
Demand improved from last week’s dol
drums, and was generally fair. Supplies
were adequate except yolks remained tight
at some locations, liquid and frozen eggs
(ingredients included) processed under
federal inspection in the Eastern region for
the week ending November 29, 1997 were
16% less than the previous week, and 8%
more than the same week last year.
Shell egg offerings increased and were
adequate to ample and prices trended
lower.

Offerings were increasing as sales slowed.
Retail and distributive demand was dis
couraging as orders were lighter than
expected. Some traders interest shifted to

items tanged from weak to steady.
