Steer and heif er calves steady. Demand moderate for feeders, good for calves. Weigh-ups and condition of feeders and calves in buyers favor. Feeders in medium to slightly fleshy wheat condition; calf condition best so far this season with majority medium to slight ly thin fleshed, few fleshy. Weigh oendi- don of all classes gaunt to avenge. Supply consisted of a good number of calves but a dramatic increase of feeder steers off wheat noted. Slaughter cows 1.00 higher. Slaughter bolls steady to 1.00 higher. Demand good for all classes. Near 600 head of young replacements sold. Of the 1070 cows and bulls sold only 30 percent to packers with balance as replacements and few thin cows for grazing. Receipts this week 9,845; last week 6,761; last year 17,614.
