Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was generally noted as disappointingly
below expectations. Offerings were fully
sufficient to handle current requirements.
Live supplies were mostly moderate;
weights varied in a range of light to heavy.
Processing schedules were moderate to
heavy. Less than trucklot asking prices
were unchanged at 48 to 62 cents. Trade
sentiment was steady, but cautious. In the
parts complex, all items were fully suffi
cient for the limited buying interest

Prices were unchanged. The market tone
was steady. Demand slowed with many
buyers working reduced holiday schedules.
Floor stocks were generally adequate, but
yolks were still sometimes tight liquid
and frozen eggs processed (ingredients
included) under federal inspection in the
eastern region for the week ending Novem
ber 22, 1997 were 1% less than last week,
and 9% mote than the same week last year.
Raw material supplies
increased, particularly breaking stock, and
prices were unchanged to lower.
