Compared to last week: Feeder cattle
and calves steady. Demand good for feed
ers and weaned calves, light to moderate
for fleshy calves just off the cow. Quality
of supply plain to average, few attractive.
Weigh-ups average, few full. Calves in
medium to heavy flesh, few thin. Calf
supply an even mix between short term
weaned calves and fleshy calves. This con
trasting to last week's supply of predomi
nately weaned, medium flesh calves.
Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00-3.00 higher.
Demand from packers very good as this the
last big week of cow tuns until after the
holidays. Total of 500 cows and bulls sold
with 70 percent to pockets. Receipts this
week 10,700; last week 12,886; last year
