Prices were higher. The market tone was
fully steady to firm with whole egg and
yolks in the strongest position. Demand
was mostly moderate. Floor stocks were
about adequate with yolks in the tightest
position. Liquid and frozen eggs (ingre
dients included) processed under federal
inspect! on in the Eastern region for the
week ending November 08,1997 were 336
less than last week, and 3% less than the
same week last year. Raw material supplies
were tight to adequate, and prices con
tinued to increase.
