Nut-Coated Marshmallows
3 cups chopped nuts
2 cups brown sugar
% teaspoon salt
% cup water
IV4 pounds marshmallows
Chop nuts very fine and mix with salt. Boil sugar and water
together until it forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
Remove from heat and set in a large pan of hot water. Brush
loose powder from marshmallows and drop one at a time Into
hot syrup. When coated on all sides, lift out and drain. Roll in
chopped nuts and place on waxed paper. If syrup becomes
too thick, reheat, but do not boil.

anniversary of its annual Fall
Gathering and Auction by releas
ing a CD recording during its main
auction Saturday, November IS.
The CD will feature the school’s
Mill Stream Quartet along with
other LMH music groups. The
quartet, comprised of LMH staff
members Dennis Kauffman, Char
les Longenecker, Larry Wenger,
and Daniel Wenger, will perform
at noon when copies fo the CD are
to be sold.
Activities for Friday evening,
November 14, include the pig
roast and chicken barbecue from

play, “A Christmas Carol,” at 7:30

the play is $4 for adults and $3 for
students. Play tickets will be sold
at the door beginning at 6 p.m.
Also featured Friday evening will
be a crafts sale, quilt preview, and
a baked goods sale in the school
gymnasium.
