At this time, over one-half million forage-producing acres exist in northeast
Pennsylvania Since the late I9Bo’s (hat acreage his decreased approximately
ten percent while livestock numbers have remained comparatively constant
The ability of the farmers in this region to market quality forages through
livestock products will have a very large and direct influence on the economic
well-being of their farms, agri-businesses, and of the greater economic
community at large Because of this - (orage quality is, and will continue to
be, of utmost importance m northeastern Pennsylvania
Livestock farmers will not want to miss the 97 Quality Forages
Conference. Participants will be able to visit with specialists, fellow
producers, and local ag-scrvicc and equipment providers Indoor and outdoor
exhibitors will be on hand to display their products and answer questions
...Forage quality is, and will
continue to be, of utmost importance
in northeastern Pennsylvania.
John Rodgers, Pennsylvania dairyman and past Picsident of the American
Forage and Grassland Council will deliver the Keynote address John is a
forage producer and has traveled extensively talking about the need for quality
foraecs
Following the keynote, participants can choose the breakout sessions of their
liking The conference will be divided into two concurrent tracks The
sessions arc aligned in time slots so that switching from track to track is
possible The complete agenda is outlined on the following foldout
