MORGANTOWN (Berks Co.)
Benefit auctions used to consist
of castaways and a few good
pieces. But take a look at what
Conestoga Christian School has to
offer at its 24th annual country
auction to be held Oct. 17-18.
The ingenuity and practicality
patrons have shown in their dona
tions shine through in an amazing
variety of must-have items that
everyone purchases throughout the
year.
For example, how many times
do you admire colorful flower gar
dens and wish you could duplicate
the effect but don’t know how?
Here’s your chance. To be auc
tioned is your choice of 10 peren
nials from Cindy’s garden, within
a mile of the school.
Other unique items to be auc
tioned are house cleaning services,
decorated party cake when you
need it, a time share vacation, din
ner for 10, garden lime, concrete
blocks, a car, and the list goes on.
Fred and Joanne Good, who
head the solicitation committee of
20, put in months of work to make
sure that the sale offers something

of the patrons, said that they send
their children to the school because
of the role models in teaching and
