The Progressive Agriculture Organization (Pro Ag) will be con ducting two more meetings next week to explain the Northeast Daily Compact. _ The first meeting will be held on Tuesday night, October 14, at the Gratz Elementary School Building, Gratz, Pa. (upper Dauphin County). The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. The second meeting will be held Meetings To Be Held on Thursday night, October 16, at the Stop-35 Restaurant, Mifflin town. Pa. This meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. The Stop-35 Restaurant is located at the intersection of Route 322 and Route 35 in Juniata Count/. Recently Pro Ag has held Com pact Meetings in Susquehanna, Berks, and Northampton Counties. Currently all six New England States comprise the Compact, but six other states, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virgi- Uincaster Farming, Saturday, Octobar 11, 1997-A37 nia and Delaware, are eligible to join the Compact, providing the State Legislators in each state passes the needed proper legislation. A premium of $1.28 per cwL was paid to dairy farmers shipping milk into New England during July and $1.31 was paid for August delivery.
