    Watershed Awareness
LANCASTER (Lancaster Co.)
The Lancaster County Con
servation District has begun a
watershed awareness campaign,
“Let’s Make One Thing Perfectly
Clear.”
The campaign is funded with a
$3,000 grant from the Pennsylva
nia League of Women Voters. The
grant program includes billboards
with the slogan in five different lo
cations throughout the county, a
dynamic poster with information
on watershed and what a person
can do to protect them, a map of
all the watersheds in the county,
three educational sessions for the
public, and a mailing of watershed
education information.
The goal is to inform and edu
cate the residents of Lancaster
County on watersheds and their
importance, and for each person to
know about the watershed in
which they live. The end result is
the formation of a citizens water
shed association in each water
shed.
