The first cow In the ring set the tone of the Eastern Nation
al Holstein sale Wednesday night as the consignment from
Tom Wilson, Saegertown (in the photo) sold to Solid Gold
Holsteins for $10,200. The two-year-old Bellwood daughter
had PTA built in of plus 2,147 m 66f 67p from a VG dam with
an excellent udder and two records over 30,000 pounds of
milk and 1,000 pounds of protein. The next f ou r dams are all
outstanding with GMD, DOM, and EX ratings all over the
place and milk records to 41,990 pounds. The sale, cata
logued by sire, had maybe the deepest pedigrees In a total
sale ever assembled at the Eastern National. Several other
