It seems that as folks get older,
they make a greater effort to get
together. Maybe they realize that
there are just so many years left
My husband has three brothers
who live in three different coun
ties and they arc planning a meal
together. I have four sisters, who
live in three different counties,
and we gather regularly. In the
summer we have a picnic, in the

fall we meet at a sister’s camp
ground, and at Christmas they
come to our home.
Recently a retirement party for
a cousin, brought family together.
This lady retired from a nursing
career to care for her grandchil
dren while her daughter is teach
ing school. It was an act of love.
Even communities bind to-
Bethel, Pa
gether for the betterment of the
citizens. An example would be the
picnic held by the Oregon com
munity at the local church
grounds. After the food was eaten
and the children’s games were all
played, the group settled down for
a discussion of the area’s prob
lems. Even a small community
can have traffic problems, crime,
and pollution.
It was interesting to hear some
historical facts about the area such
as the number of covered bridges
and the type of industry in the ear
ly 1900 s. Especially fascinating to
me was the present number of in
dustries in the immediate area.
The group listed 16 businesses.
Long ago the village had a
butcher shop, cigar box manufac
turer, blacksmith, and a grain mill.
Today the mill houses two busi
nesses, a bam has an antique shop
and the 1776 hotel and store are
now an upscale restaurant.
Hesston's Model 7155 S blows the
competition away with its
efficiency and strength
It starts with the reel-type cutting
cylinder. The tiingsten-carbide
hardened knives slice through
the crop mat without wasted power.
Wide spacing between the
cutterhead knives moves crop
through without a lot of bunching
or carry-over.
"Straight-Thru Crop-
Flow" also helps you put UlOrC
power into cutting and less into
crop handling. You'll get
today, along with a wide selection
of equipment for all your hay and for-
age needs, all backed by the AGCO
Warranty Program. And ask about
