market steer.
Bobby Davidson of the
Shippensburg Chapter earned
$1,625 for his 1,150-pound re
serve grand champion market
steer, which was purchased by
Wenger Meats.
The 960-pound grand champ
ion dairy-beef market steer of
Derrick Carpenter of the Big
Spring Chapter brought $770
when it was bought by Doug Wal
lick Insurance.
The 810-pound champion light-
weight market steer, an
810-pounder raised by Richard
Foreman of Big Spring, was pur
chased by North Mountain Bur
cher Shop for $725.
Derrick Carpenter sold his
1,025-pound champion medium
weight steer to Agway for $7OO.
The top price for market lambs
was the $430 paid by Hoss ’ for the
120-pound grand champion raised
by Michelle Comman.

Valley chapter took home $340
for his 111-pound reserve grand
champion lamb, which Wolf Bus
Lines purchased.
The grand champion pair of
market lambs, which weighed in
at 207 pounds, was sold by Heath
er Lehman of the Cumberland
Valley chapter to Hubner Seeds/
Ron Souder, Kate Lemmon.
John Gleim Inc. paid $l6O for
the 99-pound champion Columbia
lamb that was raised by Billie Jo
Zeigler of the Cumberland Valley
chapter.
Bill Leib got another $220
when his 112-pound champion
Dorset lamb was bought by Chris
Herr. The champion Montadale, a
104-pounder raised by John Wit
ter of the Cumberland Valley I
chapter, sold to Lemmon Farms J
for $l7O.
Matt Souder of the Big Spring
chapter earned $220 when his
104-pound champion Oxford was
bought by Ken’s Agriservice.
Bill Leib was back in the money
during the market goat sale when
his 66-pound champion was pur
chased by York Farm Credit for
$3OO.
Derrick Carpenter earned
another $230 for his 68-pound
reserve grand champion goat,
which Agway bought. William
Peiper bought the grand champion
pair of market goats, which
weighed in at 94 pounds from
Crystal Robinson of the Shippens
burg chapter for $2OO.
Matt Souder’s 49-pound
champion lightweight goat went
to the Farrell Veterinary Clinic for
$l9O. Michelle Cornman’s
60-pound champion medium
weight goat was purchased for
$320 by William Peiper.
A $5OO price was paid by Hat
field Quality Meats to Bill Leib
for his 257-pound grand champion
market hog. Leib also sold his
228-pound reserve grand champ
ion hog to Hatfield, this time for
$350.
