SHIPPENSBURG (Franklin
Co.) —Names like Melissa Brant
ner, Christopher Semple, Lonnie
and Sarah Wickard, and Rebecca
Comman kept popping up as the
winner? were picked during the
colored breeds show at the
Shippensburg Community Fair.
In the Milking Shorthorn com
petition, Cornman of Boiling
Springs, captured the grand
champion spots in the open and
the 4-H events and had the senior
grand champion with her senior
2-year-old Three Springs O T Jet-
Exp.
Brantner of Lurgan, took home
the award for best animal bred and
owned by an exhibitor with her
winter yearling Brandy-0 Twilite
Samantha. The same animal was
named reserve grand champ for
the FFA event.
Brantner’s dry cow, Twilite Big
Time Star, came away with the
FFA grand and senior champion
titles and was the reserve grand
champion in the open.
The 4-H reserve grand champ
ion was Jason Nailor of
Mechanicsburg with his fall year
ling Pinesedge RCM Nikki.
Nailor also had the grand
champion in the open and 4-H
categories in the Guernsey com
petition with his spring yearling
McCulloughs Baldwin Kasi.
Brian Nailor of Mechanicsburg
had the 4-H and open reserve
grand champion with his winter
calf McCulloughs Slyme Dakita.
The best animal bred and own
ed by an exhibitor was Le-Lin
Pension Verna, the spring calf of
Linnea Hoover of Boiling
Springs.
In the Brown Swiss event, Lon
ni Wickard of Shippensburg had
the grand and senior open champ
ion with his six years and older
cow Lo-Vi Lady Ensign Lill.
Melissa Brantner’s 5-year-old
Swamp Creek Jill, was the FFA
grand and senior champion and
the reserve grand open and reserve
senior champion.
Brantner’s summer yearling
Brandy-O Autumn Dolly was the
FFA reserve grand champion.
Sarah Wickard of Shippensburg
had the 4-H grand and senior
grand champion with her senior
2-year-old Top Acres Peerless
Joy. Her dry cow, Lo-Vi Lacy
Ensign Lovely, was the 4-H re
serve grand and reserve senior
champion.
The best animal bred and own
ed by an exhibitor honor also went
to Sarah Wickard.
The Ayrshire event saw Jeff
and Michele Reasner of Shippens
burg capture the grand and senior
champion spots in the open with
their dry cow Sunny Acres Misty
Polly.
Jennifer Zinn of Newville had
the 4-H grand and senior grand
champ with her senior 2-year-old
Jems Ayrshires Trans Michelle.
She also captured the 4-H reserve
grand and reserve senior champ
spots with Jems Ayrshires St.
Nick Milissa, a senior 3-year-old.
Christopher Semple of
Shirleysburg took both the FFA
grand and senior grand champion
honors. The FFA reserve grand
and reserve senior grand champ
spots went to his brother, Justin,
with his junior 3-year-old Rushing
Springs Milkmac-Jackie.

had the best animal bred and own
ed by an exhibitor and the reserve
grand and the resrve senior

and 4-H junior champ spots with

Melissa Brantner had the FFA

The junior competition for
Guernseys was a Nailor show all
the way. Jason Nailor had the 4-H
and open champ positions for the
open and 4-H events with a spring
calf, Sniders Breighton Komet.
The open junior champ for the
Brown Swiss was Lonnie Wick
ard’s winter yearling Lo-Vi Valor
Monique.
Aaron Cornman of Boiling
Springs had the 4-H junior champ
with his fall yearling Justa-Beapty
Jet Blair.
The FFA Brown Swiss junior
