WHITNEYVILLE (Tioga
County) Normandell Farms of
Liberty took home both the pre
mier breeder and premier exhibitor
banners at the 1997 open colored
breed show held Friday. Aug. 8 at
the Tioga County Fair.
Dr. Gary Rogers judged the two
day show which culminated with
the naming of the supreme champ
ion dairy animal. Chenango Lin
coln Santa, a 4-year-old Holstein
owned by Gor Wood D Holstcins.
Among the colored breed
champions, Cathleen Norman’s
senior 3-year-old, Normandell
Jedd Payge, took top honors. Fol
lowing her in the reserve grand
champion position was Norman
dell Glenwood Jen ET, a senior
2-year-old owned by Normandell
Farms.
Named junior champion Jersey
was Ty-Ly-View GG Grade, a
summer yearling owned by Paul
and Carolyn Moyer of Roaring
Branch. In the reserve junior
champion spot was Renee Nor
man’s Normandcll Poseidon Gigi,
a junior calf.
In the Ayrshire ring, Bradley
Wales and Stefanie Long showed
the champions. The grand champ
ion was 8-year-old Blue Devils
Star Buttercup, owned by Wales.
The reserve grand champion was
S&M Mistrals Carla, owned by
Long.
Among the junior Ayrshires,
Long had junior champion honors
with Shale Hill Soldier Ruby, a
spring calf, while Wales showed
the reserve junior champion with
spring yearling Blue Devils Kent
Bomb.
Mark Inman showed both the
grand champion and the junior
champion Brown Swiss. His grand
champion was Rocky Slope RL
Blend Tulsa, a 3-year-old dry cow.
Following her was Bo Ka Dotson
Myrah, a junior 2-year-old owned
by Jason Butler.
Inman’s summer yearling,
Rocky Slope RL PR Jade was
named the junior champion, while
Rocky Slope RL Ele Faith, a fall
calf owned by Lisa Fitch, was
named the reserve junior
champion.
David Kriner showed both the
grand and reserve grand champion
of the Guernsey show. His grand
champion was Castle’s Dairy Pat
sy. a junior 3-year-old, while the
reserve grand champion was
Castle’s King Flash Gloria, a
