The show is a prerequisite in Lancaster County to district level and state competition, although a number of entries had already exhibited at the Southeastern Dis trict show in Lebanon County the previous week to qualify for the state show in September. Type judge of the show was Jed Beshore, while Sue Beshore was showmanship judge. They are from New, Cumberland. The fitting judge was Tom McCauley, of Elizabethtown. In the Jersey show, Stephanie Donough of Willow Street showed the senior and grand and reserve senior and reserve grand champ ions of the show. Her senior 2-year-old, Royal Queen Impreial Lanita, bred and owned, was the senior and grand champion, while her 4-year-old, Royal Queen Juno Laurane, was the reserve senior and reserve grand champion. The junior champion Jersey was a spring yearling, SSF Trader Erin, owned by Timothy Donough, also of Willow Street Morgan Thomas of Lancaster showed the reserve junior champ ion, a winter calf. Meadow Winds Tops Whisper-ET. In the Ayrshire show. Thomas Spring of Quarryville showed the junior and grand champion, a sum mer yearling, Jalans Riches. In the Guernsey show, Jason Henisee of Columbia showed the senior and grand champion Guern sey, a senior 2-year-old, Maple Lane DP Dana. Lancaster Holds 4-H Dairy Show The junior and reserve grand champion was a fall yearling, King & Queen GH Daffodial-Twin shown by Andrew Smith of Denver. The reserve junior champion was also a fall yearling. King & Queen GD Dandelion Twin, own ed by Andrew’s brother Brian Smith. It was also the best bred and owned animal. In the Brown Swiss show, Lan caster County Dairy Princess Eli zabeth Smith of King & Queen Farm in Denver showed the grand and both junior champion animals. Her aged cow. King & Queen Simon Angel, a 7-year-old, was named senior and grand champion. A pair of fall calves won her the junior and reserve junior champion rosettes and trophies. Her fall calf. King & Queen Sensational Lady was named junior champion and was also the best bred and owned, while her King & Queen Challenge Whitley was reserve junior champion and reserve best bred and owned of the show. Her brother Andrew Smith showed the reserve grand champ ion, a senior 2-year-old, King & Queen Leverage Angelina, bred by Elizabeth. In the Holstein show, Denise Bollinger of Manheim showed the grand champion, an aged cow, Darr-Lynn Mandingo Vanessa. The reserve senior and grand champion Holstein was a senior 3-year-old, Hilltop-Heritage Bstar Gilt, owned by Heather Oberholt zer, of Elizabethtown. The junior champion was a fall yearling shown by Benjamin Welk, of Quarryville, while the reserve junior champion was a fall calf, owned by Lindsey Howard, of Willow Street hi the fitting contest the evening prior, in the junior division, Lind sey Howard was first, followed by Crystal Brubaker and Timothy Donough.
