National Heifer Sale
REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio
AU Tildys Khan Taffi-ET, a
Jersey yearling daughter of Green
wood Sooner Khan, topped the
1997 National Heifer Sale in
Indianapolis, bringing $9,000.
The 1997 National Heifer Sale
averaged $2,629.59 on 49 head.
The sale was held June 29 in
Indianapolis in conjunction with
the ahnual meetings of the Ameri
can Jersey Cattle Association and
National All-Jersey. Inc.
3 The top seller was consigned by
Kurt and Carol Alberti, Wendell,
Idaho, and will make her new
home with Coppini Lane Jerseys,
Femdale, Calif.

lactation projected m.e. average of
23,270 lbs. milk, 958 lbs. fat and
823 lbs. protein.
Eight percent of the gross sale
price from animals sold in the
National Heifer Sale is used to
fund the Jersey youth programs.
Co-chairmen of the sale were
Keith Hubbell, Brownsville, Ind.,
and Anthonty Dalessandro, Rich
mond, Ind. The sale was managed
by Jersey Marketing Service, with
Merlin Woodruff of Ohio as the
auctioneer.
