to find out that the first plate was issued in
1906.
ANSWER Marion Steger of Groton,
N.Y., is interested in purchasing hard plastic
molds from Wilton. Nancy Fasolt writes that
1 these molds are no longer produced and the
ones she has seen are in very bad condition.
The molds were made to make hard candies.
Today there are plastic molds produced in
flat sheet form or three-dimensional forms
that can be used to make hard candies. The
molds can take temperatures up to 300
degrees and are white. Do not confuse them
with clear plastic chocolate molds, as they
are only for temperatures to 120 degrees.

The two-piece Wilton Easter bunny cake
pan is no longer produced but may be found

with Johnson’s Wax Jubilee to help retard darkening and green
stains. Best to handle wearing rubber gloves so skin moisture
won’t discolor copper. Also, you can try using S.O.S. pads,
rinse, and dry well.
