Somerset FFA Told To Build Passion For Success GAY BROWNLEE Somerset Co. Correspondent BERLIN (Somerset Co.) The Somerset County FFA awards banquet and installation of new officers was held on May 22, with John Porter, county president from Meyersdale, as toastmaster. Bruce Hartman from Brothersval ley, the county vice-president made the introductions. Michael Clark, the state vice president and guest speaker, gave an impassioned and inspirational speech from difficult personal experiences that, because he didn’t give up, have brought many honors and scholarships his way. “Build your passion for suc cess,” Clark urged, “Success com es from the power of your determination.” “Success doesn’t come in a Zip lock bag, a cardboard box or a jar,” Clark said. “It comes in a can, as in ‘I can.’” Berlin-Brothersvalley received the G. Floyd Dye trophy for Par liamentary Procedure and also the Edward P. Shoemaker Memorial trophy for Educational Demon stration.
