THISWEEK^X
WHO?
This week begins with World Health Day, started in
1948 by who else but the World Health Organization
(WHO). First founded as a specialized agency of the
United Nations (although not all its members had to
belong to the United Nations), WHO has had remark
able success in checking global outbreaks of not only
polio but also leprosy, tuberculosis, malaria, and
cholera. Much of its work has been in the
u areas of prevention, improved sanitation
.-A hygiene, and more-effective
quarantine precautions. So go wash
your hands and give a salute to
health and WHO.
Prevention is better than
cure; or forecast is better than work-hard.
ns 3 Olive oil is a good skin cleanser for grease, tar, and
grimy dirt. Add sugar as an abrasive, if necessary, then rinse.
