Recently, mem ben of the Scenic
Mountain Cooperative held their
annual meeting at die Bonanza
Restaurant in Wysox, PA. First
order of business was to give to
members their patronage dividend
checks for 1996. Scenic Mountain
Cooperative has paid a patronage
dividend every year since they
started.
James Broschart, President, led
a discussion on the recruitment of
new members for their coopera
tive. Scenic Mountain's market is
an excellent one and has a quality
premium program. Anyone who

At the meeting, members also
discussed their quality program
and other matters that were
brought up.

market conditions and outlined
what dairy farmers may expect in
the next few months. The year
1996 has been a very unusual (me
with slightly better milk prices
than 1995. However, increases in
milk prices were more than offset
by high grain prices. *

Forksvillc, Secretary-Treasurer.
