The Maryland Holstein Coven don annual business meeting is set to start at 10 a.m., followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m„ with featured speaker Dr. Jom Erri from Den mark set to start at 1:45 p.m. Dr. Erri and his wife have been veterinarians for 27 years, and from 1977 through 1989, they owned a dairy farm where he bred the highest production bull in Den mark while at the same time he was practicing medicine. In 1982 he did his first embryo transfer work, and in 1989 his practice went to all ET work. In 1990, he formed a business rela tionship with ABS-Global to put United States’ genetics in Denmark. In 1994, Dr. Erri and ABS bought a bull stud in Denmark to market semen from United States’ sires. In 1996, he formed a partner ship with Echo Farms ami owns half of the cows. Following Erri’s presentation, at 2:4S p.m., Dr. Lee Majesld, dairy specialist with the University of Maryland Extension Service, is to give a presentation on the $ SUZUKI. Later that day, at the Kent Island American Legion, the convention banquet is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., with Paul Gunter sche duled to serve as master of ceremo nies. The banquet is to be pro ceeded by a social hour, starting at 6:30 p.m. Following the banquet is to be a program and auction. Youth Program Meanwhile, the junior members attending the youth program have registration from 9-9:30 a.m., Fri day, at the Kent Island American Legion. At 9:30 a.m., youth can board buses to go to the Centreville American Legion for their program. At the Centreville American Legion, the junior members are to have their business meeting from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m., with lunch following until 12:30 p.m. A presentation of the Shores Youth, by April Hall, has been scheduled from 12:30 p.m. through 1:30 p.m., followed by a presentation by professional dairy cattle photographer Billy Heath. Ladies Program The Ladies Program for March 14 includes a 10 a.m. trip to visitan old Episcopal church, the Beaten Biscuit Store, the Old Wye Grist Mill, and the Old Wye Oak.
