UNIVERSITY PARK (Centre Co.) The nineteenth annual Keystone Pork Expo is scheduled Feb. 12 at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center at the Lebanon Fair grounds in North Cornwall. This year’s meeting will feature a trade show with 43 exhibits, and educational seminars for produc ers. The Expo will once again sponsor a “Pork Bowl” contest and public speaking competition for FFA and 4-H members. Dr. Ralph Vinson, a nationally recognized swine veterinarian from the Oneida, 111, will speak on PRRS and other swine health issues. Vinson is known for his long-running column, “Hog Health,” which is published monthly in Hogs Today. Judy McDonnell, director of the Pork Quality Assurance Market ing Program at the National Pork Producers Council, will comment on the needs for pork quality assurance. Syracuse Dairy Farmers Cooperative recen tly held their annual meeting at Jack’s Reef Hotel Bill Byrne, President of Byrne Dairy, Syracuse, NY, was a guest at the meeting. In his remarks, Byrne emphasized die good rela tionship between Byme Dairy and Syracuse Dairy Farmers. He dis cussed the continuing growth of- Byrne Dairy and their expanding markets.
