She has been in FFA for four years at the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She has served as secretary, vice president, and chaplain. Amanda’s projects Include dairy heifer calves, swine finishing, and work experience with an award in dairy proficiency. She plans to attend Delaware Valley College and says she enjoys the many contest and educational trips she has through FFA. Amanda believes die leader ship and public speaking skills she learned through FFA will come in handy in the future. She is the four-year member of the Up per Dauphin Area FFA chapter and . has sunflower pro- J; duction projects -* x and off-farm work experience. She has served on the fruit sale, community ser vice, farm toy show, and FFA banquet committees. Sarah has been both the chap ter and the Cumberland-Dauphin-Perry Area secretary and the chapter president. She won first place in the county, area, and regional FFA public speaking contest and was third in the state contest. After gradua tion, she plans to attend college to study anthropology and photography. In FFA, Sarah says she had the opportunity to travel and team leadership through con tests and conferences. Chris Whipkey Chris Whipkey, 18, is the son of William and Donna ville. Green Coun year member of the West Greene Middle Senior High School ' FFA chapter and serves as the cur- rent president Chris has projects in mark et steer, market lamb, and market swine and place first in tractor driving and team livestock judging. He also serves on the farm show and fall harvest day commit tees. In the future it is off to college and he says FFA has helped him to meet people. John Whitehead John Whitehead, 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Whitehead, Philadelphia. He is a four-year member of the W.B Saul High School in the city and serves as the current president His projects include, blood drive, and toy/food. He was on the FMC summer internship and won gold metals at state in floriculture. He wants to help youth in the future by becoming an agriculture teacher. She has awards in wildlife, public speaking, dairy judging, dairy showmanship, and SAE record books. She has served on the banquet, fun draiser, recruitment, and sports commit tees. In the future Joanna wants to attend Penn State and study dairy and animal sci ence.
