4-H Club. The Milford resident
has been involved in sheep and
beef projects, and has taught food
preparation at day camps and
overnight events. A 4-H’er for
eight years, he has spent approxi
mately 6,240 hours in food pre
paration. This Lake Forest High
School junior plans to be a chef.
His trip was sponsored by the
Delaware 4-H Foundation.
Shannon Hollcgcr, 16, Smyrna,
has excelled in leadership, food,
and clothing projects in the Chest
nut Grove 4-H Club. In addition to
serving as club president for two
years, she has taught classes and
given demonstartions in her club
and at day camp. A junior at
Smyrna High School, she will pur
sue a career in education. Her trip
was sponsored by the Delaware
4-H Foundation.
The 4-H winners from Sussex
County are Jessica Carlisle, Andy
Jackson, Nancy Bennett, Nikki
Mowbray,'and Sarah Passwaters.
Jessica Carlisle, 16, is a Dublin
Hill 4-H member and resident of
Bridgeville. The Woodbridge
High School junior, an eight-year
4-H’er, has excelled in sheep,
swine, foods, and clothing proj
ects. She has modeled in 32 fash
ion shows and sewn 72 garments
in addition to managing a flock of
11 sheep. As a participant in the
National 4-H Fashion Revue, she
was sponsored by McCall’s Pat-

School, he will pursue a career in
computer science.
Sixteen-year-old Nancy Ben
nett of Milford, a junior at Milford
High School, is a member of the
Broadkill Kool Kats 4-H Gub.
She has been active in photog
raphy and camping and has taken
on leadership roles at Junior
Council and the State Environ
mental Camp. She plans to pursue
a career in business.
Nikld Mowbray. 16, Bridge
ville, has been involved in 4-H fra
seven years. She has excelled in
projects involving sheep, swine,
vet science and leadership, and
has served as counselor at the
State Environmental Camp. A
member of the Dublin Hill 4-H
Club, she raised 13 sheep this year
and provided much of the veterin
ary care herself. The St. Andrews
School junior plans to major in
psychology. Her trip to National
4-H Congress was sponsored by
the Delaware 4-H Foundation.
Woodbridge High School
junior Sarah Passwaters, 16, has
been involved in. 4-H for eight
years. As a member of the Dublin
Hill 4-H Club, she has excelled in
sheep projects and has also been
active in vet science, foods, and
leadership. The Bridgeville resi
dent owns 26 animals and has ex
hibited at five shows. She plans to
major in agriculture and animal
science. She was sponsored on her
trip to Memphis by junior live
stock auction donors to 4-H.
