CATTLE: Lower price levelf for
slaughter cattle were the remit of a conti
nuation of decreasing packer margins
throughout the week. Trading of slaughter
steers and heifen began at steady levels,
however by the end of the week prices had
dropped 2.00-3.00. Cow prices decreased
1.00- throughout the trading period. In
a thin test of bullocks price levels were
mostly steady through the week. Prices for
bulls were steady to weak. Supply included
38 percent slaughter steen, 8 percent
slaughter heifen, 39 percent cows, S per
cent bulls, with the balance feeden.
