CHAMBERSBURG (Franklin
Co.) Robert Kaufman, presi
dent of the Pennsylvania Associa
tion of Conservation Districts
(PACD), has announced the
appointment of Susan Fox as the
Association’s executive director.
The PACD is a nonprofit orga
nization dedicated to supporting
the Commonwealth’s 66 conser
vation districts in their efforts to
promote the wise use of natural
resources.
Fox replaced Kurt Leitholf who
accepted a position with the Penn
sylvania Department of Conserva
tion and Natural Resources.
Fox recently returned to the
United States from Canada where
she worked for the past 10 years.
She brings more than five years of
association experience to the
PACD.
In Canada, she managed the
New Brunswick Hog Marketing
board and the pork producers
On-Farm nutritional consulting.

Meat Council (the national associ
ation of federally inspected meat
processors in Canada).
In addition to her association
experience. Fox has also worked
for the provincial department of
agriculture, a management con
sulting firm and the farm credit
banks.
She has a bachelor of science
degree in agriculture, magna cum
laude, from West Virginia Univer
sity and a master of science in
agricultural economics from the
University of Tennessee.
“We are very pleased that Ms.
Fox has agreed to become the
executive director of the Pennsyl
vania Association of Conservation
Districts. We look forward to her
assistance in continuing to
improve conservation efforts in
the Commonwealth,” Kaufman
said.
