would appreciate if someone could give instructions
for making a mouse and rat bait that really works and
uses inexpensive ingredients that can be purchased
in stores. Commercial rat bait is expensive.
QUESTION Mrs. David Weidenhammer, Bern
ville, would like to know if anyone has tried to make
shampoo and conditioner. She knows how to make
soap, but wants to know how to make personal
hygiene products.
QUESTION Rose Diehl, Bloomsburg, would
like to know how to remove rust from a cast iron skillet
and to keep it from reappearing when not in use.
QUESTION —John Popirski, Pottsville, would like
to find a source for a small turkey called the Beltsville
Turkey. This turkey is smaller than the Royal Palm
Turkey and is ideal for small families with only two or
three people.
QUESTION Edwin and Kathryn Zimmerman of
Manheim would like to know where to buy the wire
frames for Victorian lampshades.
QUESTION Betty Sterner wants to thank Nola

recently purchased in the ML Joy area a unique jack
o-lantern made from a gourd which had been dried,
cut and also dyed a rusty orange color. She says the
pumpkin was fromn Carlisle, Pa. Can anyone tell her
what type of gourd was used and the process for dry
ing and dyeing. She would like to do this as a project
with the senior citizen group in her area. She ia also
looking for a recipe for an old-time holiday center
piece called, “Dancing Snowballs.” She knows it
takes mothballs.
