dealers generally able to fill immediate
needs. Offerings were in close balance, but
usually covered trade requirements.
Demand was mostly repotted at better than
expected. The market tone was fully steady
with underlying sentiment cautious.

Prices were unchanged to higher in the
Northeast and Midwest The market tone
ranged from steady to firm, mostly fully
steady. Demand for cartoned eggs was
moderate to good, best where features were
either planned or in progress. Loose egg
demand was also moderate to good. Sup
plies were tight to iully adequate, mostly in
balance. Breaking stock supplies were gen
erally adequate with some sellers holding
product and waiting for a price increase.
Light type hen supplies were short to
adequate.
