At the banquet, David L. Kant
ner, assistant to the regional direc
tor of the Penn State Cooperative
Extension southeast region, spoke
about why the support from county
government and other agencies is
so essential to extension. He
reminded those in attendance that
extension “is your program.”
Trudy Dougherty, cooperative
extension director, said that appli
cations for the vacant dairy agent
position from the retirement of
Walt Wurster would be screened
Wednesday. A new dairy agent,
and the farm management position

in the Tatnall Alumni Committee.

ville, assistant wholesale manager/
horticulturist at Waterloo Gardens,
Exton. He resides in West Brad
ford Township. He is a member of
the Northern Virginia Nursery
men’s Association and of North
Carolina State Friends of the
Arboretum.
• Deborah Streeter, Ardmore,
