to good with most purchases committed for
immediate delivery. Floor stocks remained
no more than adequate.
Shell egg supplies were generally adequate
at unchanged to higher prices, and liquid
prices were also unchanged to higher. Edi
ble liquid and frozen eggs (ingredients
included) processed under federal inspec
tion in the Eastern region for the week
ending September 21,1996 were 8% more
than last week, and 5% mote than the same
week last year.

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birdi
was moderate to good, and was best on the
generally tight supply of heavier weight
sizes. Live supplies were moderate;
weights varied, bin were often lighter than
desired. Processing schedules were mod
erate to heavy. Less than trucklot asking
prices were 1 cent higher at 57 to 71 cents.
Trade sentiment was fully steady to firm.
In the parts complex, bone-in breasts
remained in short supply. Grade A bone
less skinless breasts were in generally good
balance, but letter grades were readily
available. Leg quarters were adequate to
well cleared. Wings were fully adequate,
occasionally ample.
