have been allowed to stagnate for

Pennsylvania lost its accredita

The reasons for having accredi

For years now, certain required
tests for such things as exporting
livestock, and verifying suspected
animal disease in a herd or flock,
had to be performed at laboratories
out of state; not only sending busi
ness and money out of state, but
delaying business transactions and
significantly hindering in-state’s
businesses’ ability to compete.
The new laboratory at Harris
burg replaces a 1930’5-era facility
at Summerdale.
Starting Monday, those requir
ing the services of the diagnostic
laboratory can begin sending sam
ples for testing.
