Twenty-seven lambs were shown and sold, averaging $2.36 a pouhd, well above the current market price of $1 a pound. Grand champion lamb, exhib ited by Kevin Smoker of Pares burg, was purchased by Thrifty Pallet Company for $S a pound. Chris Swartzentruber of Glen moore exhibited the reserve grand champion lamb which was pur chased by New Holland Sales Sta ble for $3.50 a pound. Dr. Frank Barch, Coatesville, purchased the champion light heavyweight lamb shown by Kas ey McAllister for $2.25 a pound. • Herr Foods, Inc. Nottingham, pur chased the champion middle weight shown by Jessica Paddock of Oxford for $3 a pound. Rachel Smoker had a great day, exhibiting the champion light weight lamb that was purchased grand champion market lamb. The 130-pound lamb was purchased by New Holland Sales Stable for $3.50 a pound. Ken Smoker represents the Sales Stables. by Fulton Bank of Oxford for $2.05 a pound and the reserve champion middleweight lamb that was purchased by Good Food Inc. of Honey Brook for $2 a pound. The People’s Bank of Oxford purchased the reserve champion light heavyweight for $2.60 a pound that was shown by Adam Byme of Nottingham. Wayne Weidman of New Holland pur chased the reserve champion lightweight lamb exhibited by Ja son Wagner of Spring City for $2.35 a pound. Jason donated the entire pur chase price of this 75-pound lamb to the 4-H Center Inc. Building Fund. Ken Smoker was the vol ume buyer of the evening. Kevin Smoker of Parkesburg exhibited the grand cham pion market lamb. The 125-pound lamb was purchased by Thrifty Pallet Company, West Chester, for $5 a pound.
