    GREENCASTLE (Franklin
Co.) The 54 th annual Franklin
County 4-H Pig Club show and
sale was held at the Greencastle
Livestock Market on Saturday,
August 10, with 86 head of 4-H
project animals shown and sold.
The 86 head of pork-on-thc-hoof
totaled 19,440 lbs. and sold for a
total sale value of $17,337. The
4-H pigs averaged 226 lbs. per
head and sold for an average price
of 89 cents a pound.

Jason Diem, Willow Hill and was
purchased by the Greencastle
Livestock Market for $3.20 a
pound. The Reserve Champion
shown by brother Eric Diem,
weighing 250 lbs. was purchased
by Hatfield Quality Meats, Hat
field, PA for $2.00 a pound.
In the Pen-of-two class,
Champion honors went to Adam

pair averaging 247 lbs. that were
