Movement of ready-to-cook whole bird*
wai about moderate and typical of mid
week activity. Seller offerings were adequ
ate on the 3 pound and heavier weight!;
adequate to short on the smaller sizes. Live
lupplies were moderate; weight* varied in
a fiill range and were moatly desirable to
heavy. Processings schedules were mod
erate to heavy. Lest than tnicklot asking
prices were unchanged at 59 to 73 cents.
Trade sentiment was steady. In the paits
complex, breast items were fully adequate
for immediate needs. Leg quarter! were
generally noted at well balanced. Wings
were about adequate and clearing satisfac
torily.

Prices were unchanged to higher in the
Northeast and Midwest, and unchanged
elsewhere. The market tone remained
steady to firm. Demand was fair to good.
Supplies were tight and iield with confi
dence in the South, and in other regions,
supplies ranged from barely adequate to
fully adequate. Breaking stock supplies
were in close balance in the South, and
were generally adequate elsewhere; the
market lone was steady to fully steady.
Live hen offerings were no more than
adequate.
