Richard and Rachel Mar tin came away as the big winners during the Ayrshire competition at the Shippensburg Fair Colored Breed Show. The Chambersburg couple’s senior 3-year-old, Benefactor Maya Mandy, was picked as the second grand champion in the open contest and also was chosen as the best animal bred and owned by an exhibitor. The Ayrshire 4-H grand champ ion and open reserve champion was Masonic Homes Jade Megan, the S-year-old of Michelle Ocker of Shippensburg. The FFA Ayrshire grand champion was Rushing Springs Babes Iris, the junior 2-year-old of Christopher Semple of Shirleys burg. Justin Semple, also of Shir leysburg, showed the FFA reserve champion, the junior 2-year-old, Rushing-Sipings Milkmac-Jaclde. In the Brown Swiss contest, the best animal bred and owned by an exhibitor was La-Mel-Lo Trad Tad Emmy Lou, a senior 3-year old shown by Larissa Mellott of Saint Thomas. Lonni A. Wickard of Shippens burg had the Brown Swiss open grand champion with his 6 years and over animal, Lo-Vi Lady Ensign Lilt. The reserve champion in the open was Quaker-Haven Patrick Queen, the junior 2-year old of Aaron B. Com man of Car lisle. That animal also was the 4-H champion. The senior 2-year-old of Larissa Mellott, We-Gotta Ensign Fiette, was the 4-H reserve champion. The FFA grand champion Brown Swiss was Swamp Creek Jill, the 4-year-old of Melissa Brantner of Lurgan. Brantner also had the reserve FFA champion with her summer yearling, Brandv-O Jills Missy. The Guernsey show saw Le- Lcn Magic Velvet, the senior Receiving the FFA Brown Swiss grand champion was Melissa Brantner. The FFA reserve champion was the spring yearling, Brandyo Merrily Hunter Joie of Melissa Brantner. In the Milking Shorthorn event the best animal bred and owned by an exhibitor and the FFA reserve champion was Brandy-O Cathy, the spring calf of Melissa Brantner. The open and 4-H Milking Shorthorn grand champion was Three Springs O T Jewel, the spring calf of Shana Falk of New ville. The FFA grand champion was Melissa Brantner’s winter calf Brandy-0 Twilite Samantha. Jason Nailor of Mechanicsburg had the 4-H reserve champion with his fall calf Pinesedge RCM Nikki. In the junior competitions, the open and 4-H champion Ayrshire was the fall yearling, Ockerdale Reliable Julie Joy, of Michelle Ocker of Shippensburg. The reserve open and 4-H champion was Ockerdale Reliable Jessica, the fall yearling of Heath Ocker of Shippensburg. The open junior Brown Swiss champion was Lonni Wickard’s winter calf Lo-Vi Valor Monique. The junior open reserve champion was Fulton Emery Alexas, the winter yearling of Julie Fulton of Shippensburg, which also was the 4-H junior champion.
