Hampshire hog shown by John
Strawbridge was named supreme
champion swine Tuesday after
noon at the Kutztown Swine
Show.
John, 12, also named reserve
champion of the market swine
show, is the son of Donna and John
Strawbridge, Allentown.
Daryl Grumbine, show judge
from Myerstown, said that the
Hampshire hog shown by John for
grand champion of the breed was
“far superior” to what he*d seen
that day.
John said the hog is from his
family farm. He’s in the 7th grade
at White Hall School.
Kelly Peifer admitted that they
< "aren’t my hogs’* when it was time
* to take the Kutztown Swine market
Calvin H. Lazarus 111 showed the Kutztown champion
Duroc.
Chestor White champion at Kutztown was shown by
Daniel Blllig.
