The James Young family from
Horizon Farms in New Enterprise
walked off with all Milking Short
horn awards in the junior dairy
show of die Bedford County Fair.
Senior champion was a senior
2-year-old, while reserve honors
went to a junior 2-year-old.
Ayrshires
Club groups winning honors in
the Junior Ayrshire Show includ
ed those from Southern Cove 4-H,
placing first;, Northern Bedford
County FFA, second; and Chap
man’s Run, third.
The junior champion was a
summer yearling shown by Lynda
Sweinhart and the reserve cham
pion was a winter yearling also
shown by Sweinhart
Grandchampion was a 2-year
old shown by Jason Mowry and
reserve grand was a summer year
ling shown by Lynda Sweinhart
Guernseys
Grand champion Guernsey was
an aged cow shown by Aaron Ga
ble while reserve grand was a
3-year-old shown by his cousin.
