Prices were unchanged under a steady
market tone. Demand was mostly mod
erate, best where featured and into resort
areas. Supplies of the large sizes were gen
erally adequate, and mediums remained
surplus.

Prices for whole egg were higher, whites
and salt yolks were unchanged to higher,
and sugared yolk prices held unchanged.
The market tone was steady to firm.
Demand was light to moderate as buyers
watched the markets strengthen. Floor
stocks were adequate. Raw material costs
were unchanged to higher. Edible liquid
and frozen eggs (ingredients included) pro
cessed under federal inspection for the
week ending July 20, 1996 in the Eastern
region were unchanged from last week,
and 7% more than the same week last year.
