said Denise. “She had' a twisted
stomach, and we weren’t planning
on keeping her. We certainly
didn’t count on this.”
“This” of course was the grand
championship of the Holstein
show Wednesday afternoon Airing
the Lancaster County 4-H Dairy
show competition at the Solanco
Fairgrounds.
“We crossed our fingers and we
hoped and prayed,” said Denise, a
Hcmpficld High School freshman
and daughter of Darryl and Ruby
Bollinger of Manheim.

only a year ago, started eating reg
ularly and - soon, remarkably,
regained its health. The Holstein
placed in the top 10 in her class at
the last Faim Show.
Ruby said that Denise will show
