Kenyon Jersey Hill Farm owned by Leonard and Dana
Kenyon and managed by son Kent features Registered
Jerseys. Kent Is the 6th generation of the family on the farm.
The 60 cows average just under 14,000 lbs of milk and they are
are housed in a stall barn and milked with pipeline. The farm Is
located six miles north of Coudersport In Potter County. The
farm’s 350 acres are used to grow oats, corn, and hay for the
cows.

David and Martha Jean Lemmon own this new Dairy of Dis
tinction In Somerset County, located near Markleton. The farm
came into the family In 1949, and today the Lemmons’ two
sons and their families do the farming. They milk 60 Holsteins
with a 21,000 lbs. of milk average and have used an Intensive
grazing program for seven years. Each paddock has been sup
plied with water, and the cows are rotated In the pastures from
late April to November. Cost saving’s have been great on this
program. Son Larry and his wife Karen have two children, Mic
hal 5, and Kelsey 2. Son Gregg and his wife Barbara have three
children, Rane 11, Amber 5, and Bradley 2.
