Price ranges were unchanged to lower.
The market tone was cautiously steady to
weak. Demand centered on immediate
needs only, and was generally no better
than fair. Floor stocks were adequate. Shell
egg offerings were at least adequate from
regular suppliers, and prices were
unchanged to lower with light weight eggs
in the weakest position. Edible liquid and
frozen eggs (ingredients included) pro
cessed under federal inspection in the East
ern region for the week ending June 1,
1996 were 16% lest than last week, and 2%
more than the same week last year.
