All containers were granulated into fine chips and sent to a con tractor in St Louis for recycling. Some collected plastic has already gone back into production of crop protection product containers. Other uses of recycled plastic include fence posts, signs and plas tic pallets. This year, the program will i elude 62 collection sites, located in 22 counties; Adams, Berks, Blair, Centre, Chester, Columbia. Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin. Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster. Lebanon, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Union and York. The types of contain ers accepted into the recycling program are: EPA-registered agri cultural, structural, turf, forestry and specialty pest control product containers, as well as containers for adjuvants, crop oil. surfactants and fertilizers. Non-agriculture related products, such as antifreeze and motor oil cannot be accepted.
