expand American ID beyond
parentage and performance
recording organizations, to also
include state veterinarians, herd
health practitioners, and USDA
agencies, among others.

USA and the National Dairy Herd
Improvement Association (NDHI-

port for the American ID Number

Dairy Cattle Breeding (CDCB) in

provide a unique number for each
animal identified by organizations
that incorporate the numbering
system. CDCB initiated the move
to such a single identification
