Milk Marketing Inc. (MMI) is dis
tributing more than $4.1 million in
patronage earnings to its dairy
farm families this month, an
nounced Don Schriver, executive
vice president and chief executive
officer, and Herman Brubaker,
chair and president of MMl’s
board of directors.
More than SI million is in cash,
Schriver said. Checks were mailed
March 14. More than S 3 million is
being distributed as certificates of
equity, redeemable at the discre
tion of the board of directors.
"Over the past three fiscal
years, MMI has returned to mem
ber fanners a total of $21.9 mil
lion in cash, over and above regu
lar milk checks,” Schriver noted.

of $5.2 million, and redemption of

For the 1994-95 fiscal year, “51
percent of earnings have been paid
in cash,” Schriver said. “This
month’s allocation brings total
earnings issued to members to
$6.3 million for the 1994-95 fiscal
year, or nearly 14 cents per hund
red pounds of milk.”
That $6.3 million includes a
$2.2 million cash payout last Sep
tember.
“We are pleased to be able to
return these earnings during tough
times for dairy farmers,” said Bru-

that producers marketed through
MMI during the period of July 1,
1994 through June 30, 1995,
Schriver explained.
In fiscal 1994-95, MMI mar
keted and processed more than 7.1
billion pounds or 824 million gal-
