The state organization also selects its annual Ayrshire princess during the convention. This year, Gretchen Yaple was named suite princess, while Katie Young was named alternate. Returning Ayrshire maids are Jennifer Maulfair and Rebecca Nolan. Outgoing princess Kathy McKenzie presented the sash and a bouquet of flowers to the new prin cesses and maids. She also talked about her experience promoting the breed, and thanked the group for giving her the opportunity to travel and learn.
