GAY BROWNLEE
Somerset Co. Correspondent
The word “versatile," in the dic
tionary means several things. One
meaning of versatile is “adaptable
to many uses or functions."
In the following fun exercise.
Kid's Komcr readers will team
about something versatile that
comes every spring. It has many
uses.
Read all the clues and take a
guess, then Kid's Komer readers
can give the quiz to their parents.

Roses arc red,
Violets are blue.
Spring comes in March,
And winter is through.
Roses are red.
And violets will bloom,
But in springtime it rains.
And the thunder goes “boom!”
PUPPY
We got a new pup.
Who cats all his food.
And digs holes in the ground.
When he's in the mood.
Our pup like to play,
So we're teaching him tricks.
Like catching a frisbee,
or fetching small sticks.
TEETH
It’s time for the dentist.
To check all my teeth,
I know he will tell me.
To stop eating sweets.
But milk builds good teeth.
So I drink it a lot.
To stop bad old cavities.
Or my teeth will rot
SOCCER
It’s time to play soccer,
The season is here.
For kids and their coaches,
To kick balls and cheer.
It’s time to score goals,
Don’t wony or fear,
Clever footwork will work.
Kick that ball right in here.
Then break for your bottle.
And guzzle it down.
Your team won the ballgame.
They arc heroes in town.
